JOY EATON

Event Coordinator, Performing Arts

Joy is a former seventh- and eighth-grade English teacher who began volunteering with the MS/HS Choir to satisfy her desire to work with kids after losing her teaching position. Not long after that happened, she was asked to join the Urban Impact staff. Joy loves to indulge her "teacher" side while working here, and keeps up with the students' grades. "I love it when our kids wander into our office after they get out of school--just to say hello. They really love spending time here! Urban Impact is the best of both worlds...I get to work with kids but I don't have to grade their homework!" Instead she plans the tours for the Urban Impact Singers and Urban Impact Shakes.

Joy and her husband enjoy living and ministering on the North Side.
